We all have our favorite go-to’s for inspiration. These are mine.

1. Pinterest

Pinterest has been my #1 place to go for design inspiration since about 2011. It has become THE social media platform for sharing ideas. It is used by so many different, diverse people all over the world—not just designers—that it offers an endless amount of inspiration. I’m not saying everything on Pinterest is good or Pin-worthy, but it’s my first go-to.

2. Designspiration

This is an obvious one because it’s all in the name! Designspiration is actually a great resource. It’s kind of like the Pinterest of art & design.

3. Behance

Behance is Adobe’s online community for artists and creatives to showcase their work, and discover others’ work and get inspired. It’s touted as the “world’s largest creative community.” Many designers even share some of their elements and templates as free downloads.

4. Dribbble

Dribbble explains itself as “show and tell for designers.” Web designers, graphic designers, illustrators, icon artists, typographers, logo designers, and other creative types share their work their work, process, and current projects.

5. Awwwards

Awwwards is an online awards competition for professional website design and development. It’s a great place to check out what’s trending in web design, even if you’re not a web designer or developer yourself.

6. Instagram

You’re crazy if you don’t think Instagram is a good place for art and design inspiration! If you follow the right creative people and the right hashtags, you can find some incredible photographers, calligraphers, artists, travelers, and top creative agencies.
